“The maintenance of granite surfaces is quick and easy. It should always be cleaned with only mild soap and water and dried off. Avoid the use of abrasive cleaners, ammonia products, bleach products, and scouring pads.
Your granite was sealed before it was fabricated and installed, but it will require resealing periodically. You may purchase a sealant at your local home improvement store. There are a variety of products, each with their own recommendations. Several companies offer mild spray-on cleaners, sealants, poultice stain-removers, and disinfectants that are safe for natural stone.

Granite is fairly porous and is not affected by heat. Marble is very porous and is not heat resistant. Man-made quartz products are nonporous and can be affected by very high heat.

We offer granite and marble treated with SenGuard, which guarantees your countertop to be free of stains for 15 years. It completely resists oils, dark vinegars, juices, etc. We especially recommend SenGuard if you plan to use marble for your kitchen countertops. There will be an additional fee for this treatment. Price will be quoted per square foot.
